Our Leadership

Over the course of his career in telecom, cable, and emerging technologies, Mr. Ramlall has built a record of accomplishments in investor relations, international business development & M&A, business development, regulatory affairs, operations, lobbying, and communications. Additionally Mr. Ramlall has served on board of public, private and non-profit organizations. 

 

In February 2020, Mr. Ramlall helped create a Services & Construction Company in Guyana. He is a Director & Founder. Additionally, he is a co-investor in an apartment complex in Guyana's capital city of Georgetown. 

 

In July 2019, Mr. Ramlall was appointed to the board of OBLONG Inc. (OBLG) and served an initial term until December 2020.

 

In 2018, Mr Ramlall was asked to serve a a senior strategic advisor to the founder & CEO of MoIQ, a new streaming OTT Applications Provider and served until December 2020.
 

In September 2016, Mr. Ramlall was brought on to consult with INAP corporation, a leading provider of high-performance data center services including colocation, cloud and network services. He was offered a 3 year assignment as INAP’s Chief Communications Officer, which concluded on January 2020.

In 2016, Mr. Ramlall was selected to judge entries for the 2016 American Business Awards and invited to judge every year thereafter, including 2020-2022. In 2023, he was requested to chair the Management Award Judging Committee.

Prior to creating Ramlall Partners LLC, Richard Ramlall served as PTGi’s Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Chief Communications Officer from November 2010 until August 30, 2013. He led the company’s investor relations, corporate development, regulatory, external affairs and activities and public relations. He had P&L/organizational responsibility for India, Brazil and US operations.

Prior to PTGi Mr. Ramlall served as Senior Vice President Strategic External Affairs and Programming at RCN Corporation from March 2005 to August 2010, where he led the company's investor relations, programming, regulatory, external affairs and activities and public relations. Before joining RCN, he served as Senior Managing Director and Executive Vice President of Spencer Trask Media and Communications Group, LLC. Prior to this, Mr. Ramlall served as Vice President and Managing Director for Strategy, Marketing and International Government Affairs for Bechtel Telecommunications.

Mr. Ramlall was also Executive Director for International Business Affairs for Bell Atlantic International, and he spent more than 18 years in Verizon and its predecessor organizations, serving in a variety of executive positions including strategy, government affairs, marketing, business development, regulatory and legal positions.

Mr. Ramlall has been a board member of Evolving Systems, Inc. (EVOL) from March 2008 until 2018, was appointed to the Board of KIKA Enterprises and its Acting CFO until his assignment concluded December 2015 as well as the 2014-2016 Washington Wizards Advisory Board.  Mr. Ramlall formerly served as a board member of the Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area Chapter as well as a number of leadership positions in various other companies in previous assignments. In 1990, Mr. Ramlall was selected to serve a one-year appointment under the Presidential Exchange Executive Program of the White House. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MGA (Technology Management) from the University of Maryland.
